Janitha receives the 2014 Volunteer Recognition Award

Saskatoon Sinhala Language School is pleased to announce that the Saskatchewan Organization for Heritage Languages (SOHL) has selected Janitha Wanasundara as the recipient of the “2014 Long Term Volunteer Recognition Award”.

This award honours the outstanding voluntary contributions of a heritage language teacher in the province of Saskatchewan.  Janitha has been a dedicated voluntary teacher at the Saskatoon Sinhala Language School since its beginning and has made a significant contribution for the improvement of Sinhala Language skills of our students.

Janitha’s award was presented at the SOHL’S Annual Provincial Conference, which was held in Regina on 4th October, 2014.

Congratulations Janitha for this well-deserved recognition!
